The 1981 G7 summit in Ottawa - Montebello was the 7th summit of the leaders of the Group of Seven . The meeting took place under the chairmanship of Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau from July 20 to 21, 1981 at the Hotel Château Montebello.
