Otto Coors (born May 26, 1916 in Osnabrück ; † August 14, 1970 ) was a German football player and football coach who played for VfL Osnabrück and then Borussia Neunkirchen from 1938 to 1949 . He was a member of the so-called "Gartlager Elf", which won the Lower Saxony championship in 1939 and 1940 under coach Walter Hollstein . In 1948 he was banned from gaming for six weeks because he had a fight with a player from Eimsbütteler TV .
After his commitment as a player at VfL, he began his coaching career after his friend Helmut Schön had persuaded him. He coached VfB Theley , TSC Zweibrücken , FC St. Pauli and FV Ebingen .
Coors died of a heart attack on August 14, 1970 at the age of 54 .
