G8 summit in Kananaskis 2002

The G8 summit in Kananaskis (west of Calgary ) in 2002, June 26-27, was the 28th meeting of the heads of government of the Group of Eight in Canada . The meeting was chaired by Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien .

It was about Russia's presidency of the G8, the G8 Africa Action Plan, additional funds for the Cologne debt relief initiative, education, economic growth, environmental protection and sustainable development, overcoming the “digital divide” in the world, combating terrorism, and travel and transport security as well as regional crises.
