The Montemno Lake ( English ; Bulgarian езеро Монтемно esero Montemno ) is a south-east-northwest orientation 190 m long, 70 m wide and 0.96 hectare large lake on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Byers Peninsula , it is 230 m northeast of Oread Lake , 3 km northeast of Dometa Point and 3.25 km south of Nedelya Point immediately west of the Urvich Wall . The Bedek Stream drains it north to Barclay Bay .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2020 after the Roman camp of Montemno in northern Bulgaria .
