The Naiad Lake ( English ; Bulgarian езеро Наяда esero Najada ) is a roughly rectangular, north-south orientation 230 m long, 150 m wide and 2.98 hectares large lake on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the Byers Peninsula , it is 1.4 km north-northeast of Point Smellie on the southwest side of Laager Point on President Beaches . A strip of land 12 to 90 m wide separates it from Osogovo Bay .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2020 after the Naiads , spring nymphs from Greek mythology .
