The Monti Ausoni are a low mountain range in the Italian region of Lazio . It is located about 100 km southeast of Rome , between the Sacco valley and the Pontine plain . The Monti Lepini adjoin in the northwest and the Monti Aurunci in the southeast . The ridge is a karstified limestone mountain range.
The Ausonian Mountains have an extension of about 30 km in a west-east direction and 20 km in a north-south direction.
