Montoro Superiore

Montoro Superiore is a place and was an Italian commune in the province of Avellino in the Campania region . The municipality was part of the Comunità Montana Irno - Solofrana . The place has belonged to the municipality of Montoro since 2013 and is located at an altitude of 400 mslm. The local saint is Nikolaus von Tolentino .

Montoro Superiore merged with Montoro Inferiore on December 3, 2013 to form the new municipality of Montoro. On December 31, 2013, the municipality had 8990 inhabitants on an area of ​​20 km². The neighboring communities were Calvanico (SA), Contrada , Fisciano (SA), Montoro Inferiore and Solofra . The communities Aterrana, Banzano, Caliano, Chiusa, San Pietro, Sant'Eustachio and Torchiati belonged.
