The Moody Barn is a circular barn in Chisago Lake Township in Chisago County , Minnesota . The farm was founded in 1871 by the Swedish emigrants Elof and Eva Modig under the Homestead Act . The couple raised five children on the farm and grew wheat, which was not uncommon in the 1870s. In the 1890s, Minnesota's agriculture began to diversify . The production of milk and cheese became more common and the products were sold through cooperative dairies . In 1915 one of the sons, Charles Moody, decided to build a modern round barn.

The barn is 56 feet in diameter  and about the same height. Inside is a 42 foot (around 13 m) high silo . There is also a barn for dairy cows and their calves on the ground floor and a floor for storing hay on the floor above. Instead of the traditional red and white paint, the barn was painted a blue-gray color. The construction costs amounted to 3200  dollars (in today's prices about 84,000 US dollars), in each case the seven men involved in the construction were given a dollar a day plus meals.

In 2004 the barn was moved from the west side of the road to the east side. The structure is now owned by the Chisago County Historical Society. It was repainted and shingled . The round barn is now in a ten hectare park.
