Chisago Lake Township is a township in Chisago County , Minnesota , United States . In 2000 there were 3276 inhabitants in the township.

According to the United States Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 141.2 km², of which 119.7 km² is land and 21.5 km² (= 15.26%) is water. The township takes its name from the lake of the same name, which is home to numerous species of fish. The fish species of the lake with the largest populations include pike , largemouth bass , black bass , sunfish , river perch , glass eye bass and various smaller edible fish (" panfish "). The Department of Natural Resources has also observed muscle lungs and carp .
Demographics
At the time of the United States Census 2000, Chisago Lake Township was inhabited by 3,276 people. The population density was 27.4 people per km ². There were 1269 housing units at an average of 10.6 per km ². The Chisago Lake Townships population was 99.18% White , 0.34% Black or African American , 0.12% Native American , 0.06% Asian , 0% Pacific Islander ,% said they were racial and 0 , 03% named two or more races. 0.27% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latinos of any race.
