Mooshof (parish churches)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mooshof is a district of the Lower Bavarian town of Pfarrkirchen in the Rottal-Inn district . The place is, separated by the river Rott , in the south of the district town.

Originally the meadows south of the Rott were marshland , which was fed by the massive water resources of the slopes further south and the Rott, which repeatedly overflowed the banks. The marsh meadows were used as pasture by the von Edelbeck family until the 18th century . After the drainage, the area was cultivated as arable land. The western part of today's Mooshof belongs to the Altersham district , while the eastern part belongs to the Untergrasensee district. Today there is a residential area with approx. 1000 inhabitants in the eastern part. On the other side of the State Road 2112 , which separates the two parts, industrial and commercial enterprises have settled. Since 2010, Mooshof has been extended with residential development to the northeast (towards the B 388 ). With the settlement of larger financial service providers in the southeast, further development is also progressing in this direction. The installed roundabout on State Road 2109 means that there is nothing to prevent further development in the direction of Woching .
