Mordechai Dubin

Mordechai Dubin ( Hebrew מרדכי דובין; * January 1, 1889 in Riga ; † 1956 in Tula , Soviet Union ) was a Jewish politician in Latvia . In the local Saeima parliament he represented the Agudath Israel faction under his chairmanship from 1922 to 1934 . He was head of the Jewish community in Latvia until 1940. He was deported by the Soviet administration to Siberia in 1941, where he died.
