The Morgenländische Frauenmission is an evangelical mission association in Berlin .
Based on the English model, it was founded in Berlin in 1842 as a women's association for Christian education for women in the East . It was one of the first German clubs ever to be founded by women. The association trained missionaries, first for India , later also for what is now Indonesia and Africa. By 1900, the club moved into its own building in Berlin light field , by the architect, the Karl Siebold from Bethel built so-called "mission home" in the Finckensteinallee. After 1945 a Bible school was operated in which missionaries, parish helpers and catechists were trained. The Morgenländische Frauenmission has been part of the Berliner Missionswerk since 1984 . The association operated a conference center with overnight accommodation, a retirement home and a senior citizens' home. In 1983, a former garage that belonged to a director of IG Farben was converted into a chapel .
