Moritz Brinkmann

Moritz Brinkmann (* 1972 ) is a German law scholar and professor at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn .

Brinkmann studied law at the University of Hamburg from 1994 and later moved to the University of Heidelberg . There he passed his first state examination in law in 1998 and then worked as a research assistant at Ludwig Häsemeyer 's chair . Since October 2010, Brinkmann has held the full professorship for civil law, German and European civil procedural law and insolvency law in Bonn and is director of the local institute for German and international civil procedural law as the successor to Eberhard Schilken .

Brinkmann's research focuses primarily on German and international insolvency law and the associated law of loan collateral. Among other things, he has appeared as a commentator on this area in specialist comments and also commented on large parts of the law of enforcement in civil proceedings in the Munich Commentary on the Code of Civil Procedure.
