Moritz Schleime

Moritz Schleime (born April 6, 1978 in Berlin ) is a German painter .

Life

Moritz Schleime was born in 1978 in Berlin-Köpenick, in what was then the eastern part of the city. His mother is the painter, filmmaker and author Cornelia Schleime . In 1984 he and his mother moved to West Berlin . From 1998 to 2004 he studied painting and graphics with Hanns Schimansky and Werner Liebmann at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, where he also graduated as a master class student. Foundation of the artist group Tennis-Elephant in the same year. Schleime co-founded the producer gallery Andreas Wendt (2007–2014: Wendt + Friedmann Galerie). He lives and works in Berlin.
