Moritz Thiem (born December 8, 1999 ) is an Austrian tennis player . He is the younger brother of Dominic Thiem .

Career

Moritz played a few matches on the Junior Tour until 2017 and achieved his best placement with rank 306.

With the professionals, he played his first matches on the third-class ITF Future Tour in 2019 . Here he has so far reached the quarter-finals once and was able to place in the world rankings in singles and doubles for the first time in 2019 . The Austrian received his only appearance outside of futures at his home tournament in Kitzbühel , when he lost to the pairing of Hugo Dellien and David Vega Hernández in singles in qualifying to Elliot Benchetrit and in doubles alongside Nicolás Massú .
