The Morris Hills are a group of scattered hills in the East Antarctic Coatsland . In the north-central Shackleton Range, they tower 10 km northeast of Petersen Peak in the La Grange Nunatak core .
Participants in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958), led by British polar explorer Vivian Fuchs, mapped them in 1957. Aerial photographs were taken in 1967 by the United States Navy . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1962 after the carpenter Leslie Frederick Morris (* 1925), a member of the Royal Society's team to explore the Brunt Ice Shelf during the International Geophysical Year (1957-1958), the 1957 when the last Prepared the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition to cross the Antarctic continent.
