Morten Pedersen (musician)

Morten Pedersen (* 1980 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish jazz - pianist , composer and music educator .

biography

Morten Pedersen studied at the music academy in Hamar , Norway , with Carsten Dahl , Kasper Villaume and Lars Jansson , among others , and obtained his master's degree at the Esbjerg Conservatory in 2007 . Since then he has been working as a music teacher and jazz musician, including in band projects with Petter Wettre , Thommy Andersson, the Trio Pedersen / Melbye / Berre , the Maria Faust Group , the Nicolas Kock Quartet and his own trio The Mighty Mouse with the Norwegian drummer Håkon Berre. In 2010 he performed with this trio at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. In his creative workshops and music education projects, he works on a combination of visual arts and jazz.
