Morton Haack

Morton Haack (born June 26, 1924 in Los Angeles , California , † March 22, 1987 in Rome , Italy ) was an American costume designer . He became known for his work for films such as Gold Digger-Molly , Not So Fast, My Boy , Planet of the Apes or Return to the Planet of the Apes .

Morton Haack began his career as an assistant to costume designer Miles White before earning his first spurs in 1958 in the western Death Rides, directed by Charles F. Haas. In the 1960s, he worked as a costume designer for comedies like Eat the , happy ending in September , play with me or walk, do not run , and later for films of other genres such as science fiction dramas Planet of the Apes and return to the planet of the apes or the psychological thriller What's wrong with Helen? . He has been nominated three times for an Oscar for his work . 1965 for the musical Goldgräber-Molly by director Charles Walters , 1969 for Franklin J. Schaffner's bestselling film Planet of the Apes based on a novel by Pierre Boulle and 1972 for the psychological thriller What's the matter with Helen? by director Curtis Harrington .

Morton Haack died on March 22, 1987 at the age of 62 in Rome, his adopted home.
