Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad
Ayatollah Seyyed Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad , Persian سید مصطفی محقق داماد(born 1945 in Ghom , Iran ) is an Iranian Islamic clergyman, lawyer and university professor. He is the dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the Academy of Sciences of Iran . He is professor of Islamic law and philosophy at Tehran University and a member of the Iranian Academy of Sciences. He is a former inspector general of Iran .
He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( english A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (Engl. "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ..." ) (October 13, 2007).
