Walter Schaub

Walter Schaub (born February 23, 1885 in Sissach ; † January 28, 1957 in Bottmingen ) was a Swiss politician and local historian.

Walter Schaub attended the Schiers teachers' seminar and then studied languages ​​and history at the University of Basel . In 1910 he made the middle teacher diploma. 1911–1917 he worked as a primary school teacher in Sissach, then until 1947 as a secondary teacher in Binningen . 1935–1947 he represented the canton of Basel-Landschaft in the Council of States . He belonged to the Social Democratic Party . In his free time and after his retirement, he also studied linguistic and local history and wrote poetry.
