The Mount Amak is a 488  m high stratovolcano of the Aleutian Range . The volcano is located north of the Alaska Peninsula in Bristol Bay on Amak Island . It is the easternmost of the Aleutian Islands. The total volume of the volcano is about 1 cubic kilometer. During the eruptions from 1700 to 1710 and 1796, block lava flows formed. Earlier lava flows, probably formed between 4,000 and 5,000 years ago, consist mainly of andesitic lava.
