The Mount Archer is a 604 meter high mountain in the Australian state of Queensland .
location
The mountain is located in central Queensland, northeast of the city of Rockhampton , at the Tropic of Capricorn , about 40 kilometers inland from the Pacific Ocean , about 520 kilometers northwest of Brisbane , and belongs to the mountain range of the Berserker Ranges .
At the summit, which can be reached via a road (Pilbeam Drive), is the small town of Mount Archer . There are various viewpoints and some picnic areas for tourists .
National park
The area around Mount Archer has been designated as a Mount Archer National Park since 1994 . Its size is around 36 square kilometers.
