Mount Arrowsmith is a rugged mountain peak in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It rises for a length of 3 km along a ridge that runs from Mount Perseverance in a northeastern direction and is adjacent to Mount Whitcombe .
The Northern New Zealand survey team of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) mapped it in 1957 and named it because of its similarity to the New Zealand mountain of the same name in the Canterbury region .
