Mount Barr Smith is a prominent and 1310 m high mountain in Queen Marie Land in East Antarctica . It is the northernmost of a series of mountains along the western flank of Denman Glacier .
Members of the West Base in the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson discovered him in December 1912. Mawson named the mountain after the Australian businessman and philanthropist Robert Barr Smith (1824-1915), a sponsor of the Research trip.
