Mount Blades is a 408 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It looms in the Ford Ranges on the north flank of the Boyd Glacier at a distance of 3 miles west-northwest of the Bailey Ridge .
He was discovered and mapped by participants in the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Commander Jehu L. Blades (1925–2009) of the United States Navy , who was responsible for transport activities at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1965.
