Mount Cohen is a 1765 m high mountain in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . It rises 10 km southwest of Mount Betty in the Herbert Range in the Queen Maud Mountains .
The American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd discovered him in November 1929 during his several flights over the area on the Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1928-1930). Byrd named the mountain after the US film producer Emanuel Cohen (1892-1977) from Paramount Pictures , who helped put together the footage of the research trip.
