Mount Cooper is a large and 530 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It rises in the Ford Ranges 6.5 km west of the Asman Ridge ridge on the southern flank of the Arthur Glacier .
It was discovered during overflights in 1934 during the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . He named it after the American film producer Merian C. Cooper (1893–1973).
