Mount Egerton is a 2830 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises about 3 miles north-northwest of Mount Field in the Churchill Mountains .
Participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901–1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott discovered the mountain and named it after the naval officer George Le Clerc Egerton (1852–1940), a participant in the British Arctic Expedition (1875–1876) under George Nares .
