Mount Faget is a 3360 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Admiralty Mountains it rises 6 km northwest of Mount Adam .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Maxime Allan Faget (1921-2004), engineer at NASA and from 1966 until 1967 visitors to the McMurdo station .
