At 1030 m, Mount Ganymede is the highest mountain in Ganymede Heights on Alexander I Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It looms between the Jupiter Glacier and the Ablation Valley .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2002 in connection with the mountains it is home to after the Jupiter moon Ganymede .
