Mount Hampson is a mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises in the northern part of the Tula Mountains 1.5 km north of Mount Rhodes .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken by members of a team on the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named the mountain after Richard William Hampson (1898-1958), crew member of the RSS Discovery on the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE, 1929-1931) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson .
