Mount Hermanson is a 3,140 m high and ice-covered mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains it rises around 6.5 km southwest of Gray Peak at the head of the Cunningham Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after Captain Joseph Marcus Hermanson (1913-2004) of the United States Navy , flight movement officer at McMurdo Station from 1957 to 1958 and chief of staff of the US Antarctic Projects Officer in 1959.
