Mount Hummel is a snow-capped mountain in the east-central part of Grant Island off the Hobbs coast of Marie-Byrd Land in west Antarctica .
The crew of the icebreaker USS Glacier discovered it on February 4, 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Lieutenant William T. Hummel of the United States Navy Reserve Forces , helicopter pilot aboard the icebreaker at the time the island was discovered.
