Mount Insel is a 1200 m high mountain in East Antarctica Victoria Land . It is the highest point on the Island Range .

Participants in a campaign carried out by New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions from 1958 to 1959 named him based on the name of the island Range.
