Mount Kohnen is a mountain on the Hobbs Coast in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . It rises on the southwest corner of Bowyer Butte .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after the German geophysicist Heinz Kohnen (1938–1997), who worked from 1970 to 1971 worked on the Byrd station .
