The Mount Kropotkin ( Russian Гора Кропоткина Gora Kropotkina ) is a mountain peak in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains, it rises on the west side of Jøkulkyrkja .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition . Soviet scientists mapped it in 1961 and named it after the Russian geographer Pyotr Alexejewitsch Kropotkin (1842–1921). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this designation into English in 1970.
