Mount Lorette ( French Mont Notre-Dame de Lorette ) is a 2200 m high and ice-free mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises immediately west of Mount Loodts in the Belgica Mountains .
Participants in the Belgian Antarctic Expedition in 1957/58 under Gaston de Gerlache de Gomery (1919-2006) discovered him. De Gerlache de Gomery named him after Notre-Dame de Lorette (French for Our Lady of Lorette ), patron saint of aviators.
