At 4,395.4 m or 14,421 feet, Mount Massive is the second highest mountain in Colorado and one of the 54 " Fourteeners " in the Rocky Mountains in the US state of Colorado . It is located in the Sawatch Range in Lake County about 17 miles east of Aspen . The Mount Massive is entirely in the San Isabel National Forest and Mount Massive Wilderness .
