According to singer Shane Greenhall, one theme runs through all 13 tracks on the album. Every act that a person has consciously taken has consequences. When one has made that decision, the person comes to the point of no going back. Hence the album title Point of No Return .

Many years ago the band wrote a song with this title, but it did not make it on their first studio album. Although this title did not make it onto the second studio album, the title would go well with the lyrical aspect of the album. In addition, the title also fits in with the fact that some band members have given up their jobs for the band, for example.

Greenhall wrote some brutally honest lyrics for the album. Sometimes he describes his own experiences, which he exaggerates.

reception

Frank Thiessies from the German magazine Metal Hammer certified the band with a "hit feel for hooks and catchiness". Those Damn Crows play "American alternative rock from the textbook" without any "American embarrassment accompanying phenomenon, mistakenly confusing fat-trousers attitude with the behavior of an open one". Thiessies awarded 4.5 out of seven points. According to Andreas Schiffmann from the online magazine Musikreviews.de , when listening to the album, you get “really excited to approve these British hopefuls in terms of modern rock (without any Yankee proletarianism)”, which “would be one more reason to keep pandemic times healthy overcome". Because the album contains "enough potential hits", Schiffmann awarded twelve out of 15 points. Thomas Kupfer from the German magazine Rock Hard wrote that the Welsh quartet “switches between powerful grooves, great melodies and stadium rock refrains like a dream” and could “play a leading role in modern hard rock” in the near future. Copper awarded 7.5 out of ten points.
