Mount McGhee is a mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises 6 km south of Mount Smethurst .
1957 aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions were used for mapping purposes. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after John McGhee (* 1935), diesel generator set mechanic and driver at Wilkes Station in 1961.
