Mount Nils is a striking and icy mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises 5 km south of Mount Christensen, immediately west of the Rayner Glacier .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956 and 1957 were used for mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named him after Nils Larsen (1900-1976), captain of the Norvegia on the third Antarctic voyage of this ship financed by the whaling entrepreneur Lars Christensen (1929-1930).
