Mount Paterson is a 2,195 m high mountain in southeastern South Georgia . In the Salvesen Range it rises 3 km north-northwest of Mount Carse .
The South Georgia Survey mapped it as part of its 1951-1957 survey of South Georgia. It is named after the British glaciologist William Stanley Bryce Paterson (1924-2013), who was involved in this campaign from 1955 to 1956.
