Mount Richter is a 2550 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the northern Holyoake Range of the Churchill Mountains, it rises 5 km north of Mount Hubble between the Gutenberg Glacier and the upper section of the Starshot Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2003 after the US physicist Charles Francis Richter (1900–1985), who, together with the German seismologist Beno Gutenberg, developed the Richter scale in 1935 to determine the strength of earthquakes.
