Mount Rivett is a rocky mountain in Mac Robertson Land, East Antarctica . It rises at the northeastern end of the Gustav Bull Mountains .
Participants in the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931) landed on February 13, 1931 in an airplane near the neighboring Scullin Monolith . They named the mountain described here after the Australian chemist and science manager David Rivett (1885–1961), vice chairman of the Australian committee for scientific and industrial research from 1927 to 1945.
