Mount Rockmore is a 1730 m high mountain in the Britannia Range of the Transantarctic Mountains . It rises 6 km north of Mount Aldrich .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) named him in 2000 after the US geographer Mark Rockmore, who had worked for the National Imagery and Mapping Agency or its predecessors since 1979 and had been a member of the US-ACAN since 1994 .
