The Mount Ruker is a big and dark mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the southern Prince Charles Mountains, it rises immediately southwest of Mount Rubin .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956 were used for mapping purposes. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1961 after the geologist Richard Anthony Ruker (1930-2012), who worked at Mawson Station in 1960 .
