Mount Sanderson is a 2300 m high mountain in the north of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It rises to the south of the Rouen Mountains .
The British Antarctic Survey (BAS) surveyed the mountain between 1975 and 1976. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1980 after the British glaciologist Timothy John Oliver Sanderson (* 1954), who worked for the BAS from 1975 to 1978 and was involved in the exploration of the George VI Ice Shelf .
