The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York is one of the oldest and largest hospitals in the United States . According to the weekly US News & World Report , Mt. Sinai is considered one of the best hospitals in the US.

The Mount Sinai Hospital was founded in 1852 as "The Jews Hospital".

The hospital, which is located on the eastern edge of Central Park in the New York borough of Manhattan (on 100th Street and Fifth Avenue), also has several subsidiaries in the New York metropolitan area . There is also a Trabant facility in the Queens borough . For more than 150 years, Mt. Sinai has been at the forefront of numerous innovations and discoveries.

In 1968 the hospital established its own faculty of medicine, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine , which has consistently enjoyed a very high ranking for education as well as biomedical research.
