Mount Terra Nova is a 2130 m high and extinct stratovolcano in the center of the East Antarctic Ross Island . It lies between Mount Erebus to the west and Mount Terror in the east.
Participants in the British Discovery Expedition (1901–1904) mapped it and named the mountain after the Terra Nova , one of the two rescue ships on the research voyage and later research ship on the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913).
