Mount Troubridge is a 1000 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises from the eastern end of Hedgpeth Heights in the Anare Mountains .
The mountain was discovered and roughly mapped in January 1841 during the British Antarctic Expedition (1839–1843) led by James Clark Ross . Ross named him after Rear Admiral Edward Thomas Troubridge (1787-1852) of the Royal Navy , then Junior Lord of the Admiralty .
